Water Filtration

You might be familiar with the small, point-of-use water filtration filters that attach directly to your kitchen sink faucet.  These aren’t bad if you just need a small amount of purified drinking water from the tap.

However, more often than not, if you (or perhaps the previous homeowner) installed this quick-fix solution, you’re likely missing a much broader water quality problem that affects the rest of your home including the laundry, dishwasher, bath and shower.  That’s why we generally recommend installing a whole-house water filtration system.

Absorption filters work by running your water through an absorbent medium.  These are very effective in removing chlorine and a variety of other contaminants.  However, they fail to remove certain pollutants including some heavy metals, so it’s important to get our professional evaluation to ensure this type of filter will solve your particular problem.

Reverse osmosis filters offer an unmatched effectiveness in removing contaminants including bacteria from your water.  Water is forced through a semipermeable membrane at a pressure greater than and in a direction opposite that of natural osmosis.  This reverse osmosis process removes contaminants at the molecular level as well as larger particles.
